Who is the Current JAMB registrar?
The present JAMB registrar is Prof. Ishaq Olanrewaju Oloyede.
He is the Registrar and Chief Executive of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Professor Ishaq was a Vice Chancellor in the prestigious University of Ilorin and was known for enforcing discipline among staff and students.
He is known for being accountable, and many of the people who work(ed) under him describe him as a man of integrity.
Prof. Ishaq Oloyede is supposed to be an ex JAMB registrar by now but the presidency found him worthy of being reinstated.
He was recently reappointed as the JAMB registrar.

Professor Oloyede’s Career History
Oloyede has had a long streak of career service in Nigeria and has left a trail of excellence all along.
Prof Oloyede started as an assistant lecturer in 1982 and after authoring several articles, he became a professor in 1995, gradually rising through the ranks.
On the 15th of October 2007, Oloyede was elected as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin where he graduated from.
The University of Ilorin experienced deep transformation under Professor Oloyede’s administration.
Before he crossed this milestone, Oloyede had been the Deputy Vice Chancellor of UNILORIN twice in both administration and academics.
Professor Oloyede was also the Chairman of the Association of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities and Committee of Vice-Chancellors.
Apart from these Oloyede has held several important positions at international level.
He was President of Association of African Universities (AAU), Deputy Chairman of the Governing Board of the International Association of Universities (IAU) and Secretary-General of the Association of West African Universities (AWAU).
He was appointed as the Co-secretary of the National Political Reform Conference by President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2005.
In the following year, he was a consultant for the NUC on Educational reforms in Nigeria.
He was also the National Coordinator of NIREC in 2007.
By 2016, President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Professor Oloyede as the registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB.
Oloyede successfully administered and is praised for making JAMB more accountable and standard.
Oloyede was reappointed as the JAMB registrar by President Muhammadu Buhari after he successfully completed his tenure.
