Responsibilities: As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and optimizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for drug synergy testing.
  • Creating complex culture conditions to simulate the CF lung environment.
  • Identifying suitable methodologies and ensuring data validity.
  • Taking initiative in research planning and effectively communicating findings.
  • Project management, supervision, and maintaining accurate experimental records.
  • Submitting publications to leading journals and attracting external research funding.

Requirements

To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must have:

  • A PhD in microbiology or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrable interest in clinical respiratory infection, preferably cystic fibrosis.
  • Evidence of conducting relevant research.

Rewards:

Successful candidates will receive:

  • Full-time fixed-term contract for 2 years.
  • Candidates who have not yet been awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistants within a specified salary range.
